Successful Commissioning & Handover of 120KW Octagonal Dual-Gun DC Chargers for Azerbaijan EV Charging Station Project
Product Solution Adopted for Azerbaijan Project
The project deployed our mainstream 120KW octagonal integrated dual-gun DC EV chargers, fully compatible with GB, IEC, CCS2 standards to match mainstream European and Chinese EV models popular in Azerbaijan’s market.
1. Octagonal heavy-duty cabinet & extreme climate adaptability
The all-in-one octagonal cabinet delivers outstanding heat dissipation and structural stability, with IP54 waterproof & dustproof rating. The operating temperature range of -25℃ ~ +50℃ perfectly adapts to Baku’s hot dry summers and cold windy winters, supporting 24/7 non-stop outdoor commercial operation without frequent maintenance.
2. Dual-gun parallel charging to boost station revenue
Dual charging guns support simultaneous or sequential charging, greatly lifting station vehicle throughput. The wide 200–1000V output voltage covers all local passenger EVs, electric vans and light commercial vehicles imported from China and Europe.
3. Localized intelligent operation system
Equipped with a 7-inch HD touch LCD screen displaying real-time voltage, current, charging kWh and billing data. We completed local software customization for the Azerbaijan project: dual payment modes (RFID local recharge card + QR code mobile payment), plus four flexible charging modes—auto full, fixed power, fixed amount, timed charging—to fit local user consumption habits.
4. Optional 4G remote cloud management
All units are equipped with built-in 4G modules connected to our WanCheChong Cloud Platform. Local operators can remotely monitor equipment status, view real-time operation data, receive fault alerts and conduct unified billing management, cutting on-site inspection labor costs.
Full safety protection system
Built-in surge protection, short-circuit, overvoltage, overcurrent and insulation monitoring functions; meets international UL & IEC safety standards, and fully complies with Azerbaijan’s AZS certification technical requirements for EV charging equipment.
Full-Cycle Project Execution & On-Site Commissioning Details
Our technical team coordinated with the client one month before shipment to sort out all AZS CoC certification documents, test reports and labeling files, helping the client complete smooth customs clearance without delays. We adjusted communication protocols and billing logic based on local grid parameters and payment regulatory rules in advance to reduce on-site debugging time.
The chargers were shipped via China-Europe intermodal transport to Baku, with complete shockproof packaging for octagonal cabinets and 5m charging cables to avoid damage during long-distance transit.
Our senior EV charging engineer team traveled to Baku for full on-site service, covering:
- Grid connection matching and three-phase AC380V input parameter calibration;
- Dual-gun power distribution test under peak load;
- Full compatibility verification with CCS2 and Chinese GB/T EVs running in Azerbaijan;
- Cloud platform local account deployment, operator backend training and staff operation training;
- Continuous 72-hour full-load aging test to verify stable operation under peak temperature.
After all functional, safety and compatibility tests, the client’s engineering and operation teams completed joint acceptance and signed the handover document, giving full recognition to our equipment stability and one-stop technical service.
Client Feedback
“We chose Hizon Sun’s octagonal dual-gun DC chargers mainly for two reasons: excellent heat dissipation cabinet design suitable for our harsh outdoor climate, and global multi-standard compatibility covering most EV brands in Azerbaijan. The on-site debugging was efficient, and the cloud management system simplifies our daily station operation. We plan to expand another two highway service station charging projects with 240KW high-power models and will maintain long-term cooperation.”

Market Significance & Future Layout
This Baku charging station project is Hizon Sun Charging’s first mass high-power DC charging project in Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus region. As more Chinese EVs, electric buses and logistics vehicles enter Azerbaijan’s market, demand for high-power fast charging equipment will keep rising.
Moving forward, Hizon Sun Charging will continue optimizing product localization for Central Asia and South Caucasus markets: expanding 240KW/360KW ultra-high-power models for logistics hubs and bus terminals, upgrading multi-language HMI, and providing one-stop solutions including certification guidance, on-site commissioning, long-term after-sales spare parts support and cloud operation system customization.
We welcome charging station operators, fleet companies and energy investors from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan and surrounding regions to contact us for customized DC & AC EV charging solutions.
