HizonSun Completes Commissioning & Handover of EV Charging Project in Kenya
2026-06-22
Nairobi, Kenya — Suzhou HizonSun Tech Co., Ltd., a professional Chinese EV charger manufacturer, has officially completed on-site commissioning, grid debugging and full handover of its customized EV charging station in Nairobi, Kenya.
All deployed AC and DC charging piles are specially customized to adapt to Kenya’s local 240V power grid, featuring built-in wide-voltage stabilization technology to resist frequent grid voltage fluctuation, transient power surge and unstable power supply of local distribution networks. With IP55 weatherproof design, the chargers adapt to Kenya’s tropical high temperature and rainy outdoor environment, and fully comply with EPRA e-mobility standards and Kenya Power grid access requirements. The on-site team finished grid connection test, anti-surge debugging, multi-EV compatibility test and local technician training successfully.
Supported by Kenya’s geothermal and renewable power grid, this grid-adaptive charging project marks HizonSun’s targeted layout for East African unstable power scenarios. Moving ahead, the Suzhou-based enterprise will launch more Africa-grid-specific charging equipment, partner with local operators to build stable public charging networks, and accelerate Kenya’s national electric mobility development.
